Data and methodology

The migration retains the exact legacy table used by PPP Report and records a SHA-256 checksum for the source export. Record, company-key, and lender counts are reconciled before a dataset is activated.

Company names

Company pages use the normalization keys produced by the original site. The filed business name remains visible on every loan. Similar names may be grouped when they produced the same historical key.

Performance and freshness

The public dataset is read-only. State, city, lender, and company indexes are built before publication, allowing pages to load without scanning the full source table. The dataset label and source checksum identify the active snapshot.
